Indeed we had a great workshop trip this year in the Southwest. With the last shooting that was exceptional at the Wave in Cayote Butte North.
But first, the group I had this year was exceptional. NO they did not come at once when I was calling them for the next destination but they were motivated, creative and full of fun just like a group of old friends.
The weather has been perfect: cool, sunny but I would have taken more clouds. Water level was quite low and that was surprising. Although we did not have to see the fall at Sinawava temple in Zion, the colors were great and we had many opportunities for creative photographs as well as for the trophees.
One particular moment was whe we shot the full moon rise in Bryce. Many visitors did not know about it, but we aware and ready in the best location.
I was planning to give an other workshop in 2014 but, this kind of workshop is demanding; 12 days is quite a long trip and I might just reduce the number of destination down to Zion, Bryce and Page surroundings where we could do a few shootings like Horse shoe bent, Lower Antelope Canyon and White Pocket if we cannot do Cayote Butte North.
I am also reviewing and planning my personal trips and potential local workshops for 2014. I am thinking about giving a workshop in the Quebec province in the Fall, potentially in the Laurentiens, in the Eastern Townships or in Charlesvoix. I am evaluating the needs from people and from special requests I am receiving by emails.
best of light!
