About Jean-Daniel (JD) Gagne

Welcome to Nature Photography Canada !

Jean-Daniel has been working in the communication and marketing world for more than 20 years. Grandson of a professional photographer, he studied classical music and theatre at college. His love for mathematics has brang him to study marketing research and he graduated with a bachelor degree in marketing research and an M.B.A. in marketing. JD acquired his first reflex camera at the age of 16 and had never stop shooting since then.

Always attracted to nature in Canada and other countries, he has continued to perfect his craft in nature photography for more than 30 years. The foundation of his artistry is in landscape photography, and in more recent years, JD has also acquired a passion for photographing animals and birds of Canada. His love of traveling and his passion for photography have taken him to 3 different continents, North and South Africa, Europe and several locations in North America.

More than anything else, Canada’s natural beauty, diversity and grandeur attract him the most. JD now offers his photographs as fine art prints and his work is displayed in art exhibitions. JD leads workshops and one to one photography and composition training on landscape, wildlife and bird photography.
